Lots of Knock-knock Jokes for Kids is a paperback book written by Whee Winn. This book includes more than 250 short and simple jokes for kids of all ages (which of course includes dads and grandpas) to tell one another.The jokes in this book are easy to remember, which is great for kids like my 5 year old son who seem to forget what they're talking about 2/3 of the way through whatever it is that they are saying. These jokes are also clean and do not use any gross or graphic humor. This would be a fun book for a rainy or snowy day or to include in a child's Christmas stocking or Easter basket. It would also be fun as part of a birthday gift that might also include some funny stuff like a whoopee cushion or a Minions Fart Blaster toy (ask me how I know about these things).Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for writing an honest review. I bought this book for a 5 year old who is a little joker. The book is 121 pages long, with soft pages and smaller dimensions - great for little hands. I've reviewed most of it in pretty good detail. The funniest part of the book isn't even the knock knock jokes - it's Section 8's bonus riddles. Those I found to be hilarious, and they span about 20 pages. The rest of the book, the knock knock piece, is 'okay'. There is too much repetition of the punchline "open the door" and "let me in". They are used so much that the joke gets old fast. The Name Knock Knock jokes alone go on for 36 pages and is the largest category in the book. I really think it should be pared down to something more in line with the ~10 pages allocated to the other categories of knock knock jokes. Other categories include Place Jokes, Holiday Jokes, Food Jokes, Animal Jokes, Object Jokes and a category for "Other".
Knock Knock. Who's there? Orange. Orange who? Orange you glad you get to listen to all of my new knock knock jokes?Yikes. My grandson is having a blast with these jokes. It is perfectly leveled for his age (5) and he LOVES memorizing each one and telling everyone he meets each joke. I am so happy I bought this because they are jokes that he can understand as young as he is.
I bought this book as a gift exchange gift for school. The jokes are nice and corny, exactly what kids love. We had to stay under $5 so it was a perfect price point. It does the job, the cover is nice and colorful, the pages were basic black and white. perfect for young kids who bend pages. Exactly what we were looking for and didn't have to leave the house to get it.
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but 20 knock-knock jokes in to the 2500 repertoire has me rethinking the purchase! Oh well, my six year old daughter loves it and is sharing with her younger brother, so now they're both in on the act. It is also improving her reading, as she readily picks it up multiple times a day, so all in all I suppose it's worth the repetition. And I must admit, some of the jokes are pretty funny!
Granddaughter loves to make up jokes that weren't really funny, though she thought they were funny... so her mommy asked for joke books little N, birthday. Short enough for first or second grader to memorize.Some jokes had to be explained to her, so adults should be aware of this.Nice little book, easy for her to read.
My little daughter loves knock knock jokes so this was a perfect book for her. The jokes are simple, easy to read and I love that the jokes are broken down by chapter/subject. The only down fall is that it was shipped in a soft envelope and delivered to my small mailbox. When I opened the package the spine was bent which was disappointing but not worth the hassle of returning for a new one.
I bought this "Knock-Knock Jokes for Kids" for my seven-year old grandson. He loves it. He reads the jokes to anyone who is willing to listen. He also remembers a lot of the Knock-Knock Jokes, and has built up a repertoire of Knock-Knock Jokes, a must for a seven-year old.I highly recommend this book.
My 7 year old LOVES this book. Very simple jokes for young kids to tell and understand. Kid appropriate.
